Beach houses love a wide opening. Very wide blinds are possible, and where the glass is wider still we split it into blinds that sit side by side, linked or motorised so they move together.

Salt and humidity

For shutters near the water we usually suggest PVC or aluminium over timber. For roller blinds, screen fabrics wipe clean, which helps when the windows are open all summer.

The deck and the alfresco

Track-guided outdoor blinds zip into side channels, so a southerly does not send them flapping and the mosquitoes stay outside. We quote those after seeing the space.

Bedrooms facing the ocean get the sun early. A blockout, or a double blind with a screen in front, lets you choose when the day starts.

Tell the builder your rooms, pick the level and the fabric, give it rough sizes, and your blind estimate is on the screen the moment you tell us where to send it. Curtains and shutters go straight to a written quote, in your inbox within 24 hours.

We measure, and we fit

We come to you with the real swatches, measure every window ourselves and fit what we supply. We do not hand your job to a subcontractor.

The consultation

Close to our workroom, the consultation is on us. Further out, a consultation fee of $100 to $250 books the visit, depending on your postcode, and every dollar of it comes off your order when you go ahead. Put your postcode into the builder and it tells you which applies.

Every blind, curtain and shutter is made to measure in Australia. Blinds and curtains carry the manufacturer’s five-year warranty plus two more years from us on every part except the fabric; shutters get ten years.
